How We Verify Contractors
Every contractor on a Roofilio city page goes through the same screening pipeline before we list them or route calls to them. Here is exactly what that involves.
1. Sourced from live business data
Listings start from Google Business Profiles of roofing contractors operating in each city. We only include businesses with an operational status, an established review history, and photographic evidence of real roofing work. Businesses that are closed or unrated are filtered out automatically.
2. Review and rating thresholds
Rankings are driven by each contractor's Google rating and review count — feedback from real customers. We display the rating, the review volume, and a recent customer review verbatim so you can judge for yourself. Paid subscription never alters ratings or reviews.
3. Verified contact channels
We independently confirm each contractor's website is live and validate their business email before listing. Phone numbers come from the contractor's public business profile.
4. Ongoing monitoring
Listing data is refreshed on a regular cycle: ratings, reviews, hours, and photos are re-pulled and stale businesses are removed. Call routing also tells us which contractors actually answer — persistent non-response affects placement.
Do your own checks too
A Roofilio listing is a starting point, not a substitute for your own due diligence. For any California roofing job, we recommend confirming the contractor's license status directly with the Contractors State License Board at cslb.ca.gov and requesting a current certificate of insurance before work begins.
Report a problem
If a listing looks wrong, out of date, or misrepresents a business, email support@roofilio.com and we will review it.
